Cancer Walk Training and Soccer Returns

Overcome By Events (OBE) was a short lived buzz word at work a few years ago and aptly explains why Connie's training plans were interrupted. If you recall from the earlier blogs there were regular walks of increasing duration to prepare her for a three day walk in November to raise funds to fight breast cancer. All good intentions aside there wasn't enough hours in the week to include daily training. So while her group was continuing to train she was missing out.

Last weekend Connie rejoined her group as they marched 11 miles through the hilly roads of Palos Verdes. You have to admire a person who has the drive to sweat it out and work through the discomfort. But there are too many friends, acquaintances, and family members who have been stricken by this terrible disease. Let's give her our moral support and please consider donating to the cause at her website. See link to the right of the blog. Go For It (GFI), Honey. Remember GFI.

Vincent's soccer team started their fall season on Sunday. Last year the Gunners finished in second place which qualified them to move up to the Silver group of teams. The debut against the top Silver team from last year did not go very well so let's just forget that one. Joseph is working out with the high school team but their games don't start till much later.
