SPECIAL GUEST WRITER: DINKER.
He's Gone! Not dog gone but gone. I was up that morning when he got up. It was earlier than usual. There he was as dapper as could me. He even ironed his clothes but I still had no clue other than the bag near the door. He said good something or other and then left - without me. He went on a walk without me and didn't come back. I waited all day and into the next but.....

This sadness is a repeat of an episode almost exactly a year ago. Was it all a dream? Was I asleep when he walked me three times a day. Collected my nuggets to share with who knows who. Gave me treats when we returned home. Why did I wake up. This dream has now come twice to me. The only other recurring beautiful dream has been running for three years and it almost time again. It is a most joyful reverie. Much more than a flightful fantasy. A jolly woman comes and drops red juicy meaty spheres from the sky. She is obviously an angel. These deposits come for weeks- months but also ends without notice. Only a meatball can ease my pain- and give me the runs. Oh baby!

Before Frank left the family continued with socializing centered around meal time. On Friday the Dodger/Met bi-coastal baseball fan met the Frank for the first time this millenium. Did not see each other since George Bush Sr was inaugerated. So there was a little catching up to do around a barbeque inspired dinner. Chicken kabobs, corn on the cob, salad, hot links, and lastly tiramisu. Yummy but not for me to partake. Double ruff.

Earlier in the week Frank treated the family to dinner at PF Chang's (El Segundo bistro)and breakfast at the Kettle in Manhattan Beach. Pinkberry Desserts followed dinner at Chang's. What is so great about a dog's life.
