Connie and the Wild Women did it! They all completed each day of walking and participated in the closing ceremonies outside Petco Park. The toll wasn't too bad in general for the ladies and Connie ended up with only one blister- and one heck of an aching body. She also was presented a Birthday cake on Friday along with other goodies for a congenial gathering in the camp.
The event raised $11 million dollars with the Wild Women's efforts contributing $80, 000. Although Connie expected that the boys and I join her for the closing ceremonies, Nicole and Marie along with their special guys Ron and Chris made the trip, too. After the event ended with the emotional closing ceremonies we headed off to dinner in Carlsbad so that Connie could have a beer and some chips. Highly recommend the Mexican restaurant Norte which Chris recommended.
