This morning I took Little Miss Walker to a local business's parking lot where she and 20 team members (Wild Women) boarded a "limo" to take them to their accomodations tonight in San Diego. Now for those who contributed to the cause, the funding for transportation there and the hotel tonight is all out of our pocket. Be assured that every dollar collected was forwarded to the 3-Day walk.
Tomorrow they will rise at 5 and begin their journey. Let's see if the number of pit stops exceed the number of miles walked. The day will also be special in that Little Miss Walker will be 50 years old. Funny, when I met her she told me that she was 29. She changes her age every single year without exception- I know no other woman who ages so. There are women with whom she graduated high school with who are just admitting to beginning their periods.
It will be weird being here in the LA area on her birthday but we'll greet her when she crosses the finish line on Sunday.
